Clandeboye Conversations
Overview
Clandeboye Conversations is a wonderful chance to share histories of Clandeboye House and Estate. We want to hear from you!
A Cuppa and a Chat: Come along and connect with others who are interested in local history and heritage.
Community History: Whether you have a deep connection with the estate or just want to learn more about this iconic place, your presence is valuable.
About Clandeboye: Clandeboye is one of the most significant estates in Northern Ireland, and was home to a Governor of Canada and Viceroy of India. As landlords and employers, the histories of the Dufferins and the histories of the Ards and North Down areas are inseparable. Today, Clandeboye remains a place of historical, cultural, and environmental significance, and the Dufferin Foundation ensures its preservation.
Preserve local heritage: The stories and photos you share will be added to a permanent archive to help future generations understand Clandeboye’s significance to local people.
Media: ‘Clandeboye Conversations’ is part of Historic Houses Global Crossroads, a major initiative funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Grant code AH/Z506436/1
