CLAPA Cardiff Bay Sponsored Walk
Sat 13 May 2017, 11:30 – 15:30 BST
This year, 1,200 babies will be born with a cleft lip and/or palate here in the UK.
Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week is a national campaign to fight the myths and misunderstandings around how cleft lip and palate affects people and their families in the United Kingdom, from diagnosis through to adulthood.
This popular annual sponsored walk is a great way for the local cleft community to come together and bring friends and family to help raise vital money for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association along with sharing awareness and experiences of the cleft treatment pathway.
The walk will start and finish outside the red Pierhead building, adjacent to the National Assembly, and will follow a beautiful 3 km route around Cardiff Bay - up to the barrage and back.
You will no doubt work up a hunger along the way so there will an opportunity to stop off and have a BYO picnic. It's a nice spot where the children can also have fun in the playground.
Please get your friends and family together and celebrate Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week together, in aid of CLAPA.
