Mirror Gaze
Yr ail yn y gyfres digwyddiadau sy’n cael ei cyflwyno gan yr artist Clare Marie Bailey, bydd cyfle prin I weld perfformiad byw o’r prosiect cerddorol Mirror Gaze yn Storiel , Amgueddfa Gwynedd.
Mae'r deuawd Mirror Gaze (Clare Marie Bailey a Jim Knight) yn chwarae detholiad o pop drôn tywyll a breuddwydiol, gan swynrwymo themâu seicadelig i fewn I’r caneuon. Mae eu sŵn wedi ei leoli yn y gofod sonic rhwng naifedd a thywyllwch, gyda lleisiau hanner-sibrwd Clare Bailey yn gosod tensiwn ddiddorol yn erbyn synau bass arbrofol a’r titrwm o offer taro esgynnol. Gyda geiriau sy'n cyffwrdd â themâu dymuno, pellter, a cof gwirioneddol; mae eu henwau yn gyfres o bortreadau bychain emosiynol, fel darllediad hanner anghofiedig o wirionedd wnaeth byth fodoli.
Mirror Gaze
In the Second in the series of events curated by artist filmmaker Clare Marie Bailey a rare live performance of her music project Mirror Gaze will be presented in Storiel the museum of Gwynedd.
Mirror Gaze (a duo comprising of Clare Marie Bailey and Jim Knight) play dark and dreamy drone-pop, fusing primitive lipstick twang with enveloping psychedelic textures. Their sound occupies the minimal space between naivety and darkness, with Clare Bailey’s half-whispered vocals setting a compelling tension against a brooding soundscape of hypnotic bass guitar loops and skeletal percussion. With lyrics touching on themes of desire, distance, and distorted memory; their songs are a series of emotional vignettes, like a half-forgotten transmission from a reality that never existed.
