About this event

Agent Zo, short-listed for The Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction, tells the incredible story of the only woman to parachute from Britain to Nazi-occupied Poland, where she established a crucial intelligence network and couriered microfilm across wartime borders, playing a key role in the Warsaw Uprising and the liberation of her country. Imprisoned and silenced by the post-war Communist regime, Elżbieta Zawacka is brought back to life by historian Clare Mulley.
