Sarah Fisher is a Tellington TTouch Instructor and has worked with a wide variety of animals for almost twenty years. She trained in the USA with Linda Tellington Jones and Linda’s sister Robyn Hood after reading about the Tellington TTouch in a book. It was Linda’s recognition that an animal’s behaviour is often linked to postural traits that really sparked Sarah’s interest in the technique and Sarah has researched this link in greater detail over the years.
Sarah works with private clients and teaches workshops for members of the public and re-homing centre staff focusing on mindful handling, nose games and ground work exercises for dogs and horses. She has given presentations and talks at many events and for animal welfare groups, behaviour counsellors, breed clubs, and trainers both in the UK and abroad. She is a regular speaker at the annual International Companion Animal Welfare Conference hosted by Dogs Trust.
Sarah is the author of two books, Unlock Your Dogs Potential and Know Your Horse Inside Out and co-authored 100 Ways to Train the Perfect Dog and 100 Ways to Solve Your Dogs Problems with Marie Miller, and The Difficult Horse with Karen Bush. She has recently been commissioned to write a book on donkeys with colleague and fellow TTouch Practitioner Trudy Affleck which will be published by Crowood Press in 2016. Sarah has contributed many articles to national and international publications and has been a regular guest on television and radio shows.
Sarah runs the UK office for Tellington TTouch Training from her farm near Bath which is also the base for a new project called Cool to be Kind which was launched in January 2014. She shares her life with her partner Anthony Head, their two daughters Emily and Daisy, six horses, six donkeys, and two dogs.
