Experience the art of classic car restoration at Brooklands Museum, the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation.
This practical introduction to restoration and repair skills focuses on what’s involved in repairing classic car chassis and bodywork. Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, you’ll gain the confidence to tackle your own restoration projects.
Course Aim:
Learn the skills required to have the confidence to take on your own classic car repairs. You’ll learn to fabricate, weld, and finish steel panels — including making a sill section and repairing dents to within industry standard. With a small class size, we’re able to offer a tailored course led by our experienced team.
Objectives:
📐Apply correct marking-out techniques from technical drawings
🔥 MIG/MAG welding
⚡ Setting up and using a spot welder
🔩 Fabricate a sill section
🪛 Metal finishing dents
Location: Brooklands Museum Flight Shed (Surrey) – KT13 0QN
Duration: 3 days – 09:30 start - 16:00 finish
