Event description

Description

Rob Reiner's 1987 tongue-in-cheek fairy tale, littered with adventure, romance and rodents of unusual size. With a bed-ridden grandson (Fred Savage) to entertain, a good-natured grandfather (Peter Falk) tells the tale of The Princess Bride: a classic story of a farmboy-turned-pirate who encounters numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love.

The film is number 50 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies", number 88 on The American Film Institute's (AFI) "AFI's 100 Years...100 Passions" list of the 100 greatest film love stories, and 46 in Channel 4's 50 Greatest Comedy Films list. In 2016, the film was inducted into the National Film Registry, being deemed as "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant".

Enjoy this cult classic film with popcorn and a cup of tea with us!
