Event Details

The evenings program will contain a musical feast from around the world including Leo Brouwer’s El Decameron Negro and Agustin Barrios Mangore’s flamboyant Waltz Op.8 no. 4 along with works by J.S. Bach and Lou Harrison. The second half will be a celebration Spanish music and culture inspired by James’ adventures in Spain and is a tribute to the great Spanish Guitarist Paco de Lucia who passed away this year with works by Albeniz, Granados and Sanz De La Maza.

Classical Guitarist James Rippingale is well known for his eclectic programmes and sensitive musical playing. He graduated from Leeds College of Music with First Class Honours and the College Guitar Prize and has gone on to become a sort after recitalist, concerto soloist and educator.
