Event description

Description

Mcr Classical Association presents Stephe Harrop, in performance and in discussion with Dr April Pudsey, Manchester Metropolitan University.

Stephe is a professional storyteller creating and sharing sensitive, stylish, and quick-witted performances in Liverpool, and across the UK. You can read more about her work here: http://www.stepheharrop.co.uk/

Our event will open at 6pm with a 20 minute performance of Stephe's recent work Alcestis: in Bits. This will be followed by discussion, and then informal Q&A with the audience.

Stephe is also a Senior Lecturer in Drama at Liverpool Hope University.

All talks in our series are free and open to the public. Please join us for light refreshments from 5.30pm, when you will have opportunity to speak with members of the Mcr Classical Association, and find out more about our work promoting Classics and Ancient History around the region. We are a local charity and welcome members and anyone who wishes to be involved. Membership helps us fund a series of talks and events each year, as well as meetings for members and a regular series of children's activity workshops in Didsbury Library.
