About this event

Arts • Theatre

Edward Clark studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, specialising in harpsichord, clavichord and organ. During this time he studied with Kenneth Gilbert, Igor Kipnis and Dame Gillian Weir. He regards the clavichord as having been unjustly neglected by the pioneers of the Early Music revival from the 1930's onwards and tries to promote its unique character and sensitivity. Historical churches are idea place because the clavichord's sound, though tiny, carries very well in such places and draws the audience in.
