Clay, Incense & Slow-Making-3-Part Series (Single Booking for All Sessions)
Overview
Clay, Incense & Slow-Making: A Three-Part Journey
A Gifted Series for 20 Members of Our Village
As we move gently into this season of slowing down, composting, and laying things to rest, we are offering a series of creative workshops, moments that invite us to make, breathe, reflect, and reconnect with one another.
This experience unfolds across three sessions (PLEASE READ FULL DETAILS BEFORE YOU BOOK), beginning on26th November, guided by two incredible artists:
Geoffrey Chambers -multi disciplinary artist
Rieko Whitfield -artist & healer (Diasporas Now)
This is a gift from us to you, a chance to create something slowly, intentionally, and over time.
SESSION 1 - Clay Workshop with Geoffrey
26th November
6pm
In this opening session, Geoffrey will guide you through shaping and forming your own incense holder from clay. It’s a grounding, hands-on workshop rooted in slowness, care, and imagination. Your vessel will then be left to rest and dry.
SESSION 2 - Incense Making with RIEKO
28th November
6pm
While your clay vessel is drying, you’ll return to craft your own incense blend with RIEKO, an artist and healer whose practice weaves scent, memory, sound, and ritual. This session is about creating the offering that will eventually sit inside the vessel you made, connecting intention, fragrance, and the meditative properties of plants.
SESSION 3 - Painting & Finishing Your Incense Holder
29th November 3pm
In the final session, you’ll return to paint and finish your incense holder with Geoffrey Chambers. By this point, the clay will be fully set and ready for its final touches. This gathering closes the cycle: shaping, scenting, and sealing, a creative ritual that marks this moment in our collective journey.
Because this is a connected three-part experience, we ask that you only book if you are able to attend all three sessions.
This intimate series has space for 20 people only.
To secure your place, we ask for a £10 deposit.
This simply ensures that spaces are honoured, as no-shows often mean someone else misses out.
At the end of the series, you may choose to:
receive your £10 back, or
donate it to People Dem Collective - no pressure, no judgement.
This is an invitation to pause, create, and be together.
A small ritual of making to carry us gently into the next season.
