About this event

Join us on the 3rd Monday of the month (6-8pm) at our monthly creative space run by Glasgow- based artist and tutor Morna Murdoch.

You will get the chance to learn new techniques using clay - from beginning to handle clay, to glazing and painting. Morna will guide you through creating ornaments, objects, and more.

This is a space for all LGBTQ+ people wanting to learn new skills, be creative and meet others.

You do not need to have worked with clay before, this workshop is for complete beginners.

If you have worked with clay before, or attended Clay Time when it ran previously, we would also love to have you join us.

Who we welcome

All LGBTQ+ people aged 16+ in Glasgow are welcome to join us.

We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.

We also welcome people who aren't sure about their sexual orientation/gender identity, or who do not use labels for either.

Registration

Spaces are limited to 20 people so we need you to register in advance.

Use this Eventbrite form to register. Registration is for 1 person only. If you wish to book for someone, please make another registration using their name. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email.

You can also contact the event organiser Sophie (she/they) at sophie@lgbthealth.org.uk, or phone 0775 411 4045 and leave a message for Sophie.

If something changes and you can no longer attend the event, please let us know as soon as you can so your space becomes available for someone else. You can cancel your space on Eventbrite or contact Sophie.

Access

The event is hosted at LGBT Health and Wellbeing in the Adelphi Centre.

We will send more information about the venue and how to access the event after you register.

The venue and our event features:

  • ♿️ Wheelchair access with level access
  • 🅿️ Free parking with disabled parking + drop-off area at the front of building
  • 🚾 Gendered toilets + an accessible gender-neutral toilet

Please be aware the venue is not fully accessible. Doors in the building are manual and the accessible toilets are behind sliding doors. And there is no pavement from the disabled parking spaces (go through the car park). These issues have been fed back to the Adelphi Centre and we hope they will be improved for all of our community members in mind.

If there is anything you need to talk to us in advance of the event, please contact Sophie:

  • 📧 email sophie@lgbthealth.org.uk
  • 📞 phone 0775 411 4045
