BCB ceramic artist Joanne Ayers and the Flower Army host a workshop to allow you to watch and learn the skill of flower. Enhance your sense of wellbeing through handling tactile clay, limbering up your fingers and hands, relaxing into a rhythm of making, breathing in the essential oils used to work the clay, creating a unique object whilst considering the connections between flowers and health. Your flower will then form part of a larger installation to be displayed at the British Ceramics Biennial in 2017, which will then find a home in the local community.
BCB is the British Ceramics Biennial, a nation-wide celebration of the ceramics industry. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, they have year-round community work and a biennial festival. The next festival is in October 2017. Learn more here: www.britishceramicsbiennial.com
