Event description

Description

The Richard Austen Butler Debating Society invites you to hear award-winning Telegraph journalist and economist Liam Halligan at a special discussion on his new book, Clean Brexit.

This will mark the launch of the Society's first 'In Conversation' style function, and we are delighted to be partnering with the brilliant Hart's Books as hosts to bring this event to you free of charge with complimentary wine on arrival!

The Society is also happy to say that Clean Brexit will be on sale after the talk, with Liam having very kindly agreed to sign copies. Starting at 19:30pm, Liam will discuss key themes and details from his book with questions from the floor to be taken towards the end.

On 23 June 2016, in the biggest ever vote in British history, 17.4 million people chose to leave the EU. So what does the future now hold after this momentous decision? What will life be like in Britain after we end our European marriage? Will Brexit precipitate the doom and gloom that many predict?

Drawing on years of experience at the cutting edge of economic, business and policy issues, plus extensive discussions with leading politicians and diplomats across the UK, Europe and the world, Clean Brexit answers these questions and more.

If you support the aims of the Richard Austen Butler Debating Society as a volunteer organisation, please consider donating. Or, e-mail us at rabdebating@outlook.com to find out more about membership!
