Clean Leeds Community Action
We all want to keep Leeds clean.
That means less litter, fly tipping, graffiti, dog fouling and general waste where it shouldn’t be. We can all do so much to help achieve that by behaving responsibly, by acting when we see others not doing that and by joining in with clean-up activities across our city.
Working together and all doing our bit, we can achieve a Clean Leeds.
There are great examples of communities, businesses and individuals who are already doing just that. By all sharing what we know and seeing how we can support each other means, we can do more and make a real difference.
On February 23rd 2017, we will host an event where people across the city can come together to share ideas, seek mutual support and plan activities rooted in communities and neighbourhoods. Whether you’re already active, have an interest or have some great ideas, we want to meet up!
If you want to be involved, hold from 10.00 – 14.00 on 23rd February in your diary and register your interest by clicking the register button, or email Cleanleeds@leeds.gov.uk any time, or phone 0113 3787888 in office hours.
We look forward to seeing you!
I'd love to come along, but the time or location aren't convenient. What are my alternatives?
We know not everyone can make this date - so email us at the firstname.lastname@example.org email address with your contact details and where / when you can help and we'll try to help out!
If you are struggling to get along, there may be some lifts on offer! Let us know and we will see what can be sorted.
This event is the first Leeds-wide one we're organising. We anticipate the people attending will be having more meet ups around Leeds in the months ahead. So if you can't attend on the 23rd but want to know more, let us know and we will do our best to let you know about follow-up events.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No - come along and join us, whatever your age, young, old or in between! We'll ask for people's details so we can keep in touch and let you know what is happening in your area - and you'll be able to opt out if you want.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Pudsey Conference Centre is perfectly situated between Leeds and Bradford. Located just off the Leeds ring road (A6120), less than a five minutes walk from Pudsey train station and served by a regular bus service. This is an easy destination to reach, and there's free on-site parking.
The venue is fully accessible with a lift to the first floor, disabled toilet facilities and level access to the Ballroom and Owlcotes bar. Free disabled parking is situated close to the entrance.
What can I bring into the event?
Bring your ideas and examples of good practice - we're keen to share what has worked (and learn from what hasn't). And if you want to bring along a snack, feel free!
Will refreshments be provided?
While we're minding the pennies, we'll have some tea, coffee and so on, you'll be able to buy some sandwiches and snacks too. But feel free to bring your own.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can get in touch by emailing Cleanleeds@leeds.gov.uk any time or phoning 0113 3787888 in office hours.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you dont. But it could make it easier for us at registration!
Can I update my registration information?
Yes - any time until the day before. We'll be printing attendance sheets and other stuff then, so it would be handy to know before then!
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes - but it may be easier to update your registration so our records match.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
That's fine - but remember, we'll use registration information to keep in touch with people and print name badges, so if there's a mismatch, you might find we end up with the wrong name on a badge or email!
