The School of Innovation and Technology’s (SIT) undergraduate programmes each provide a unique and holistic overview of how technology and design practice can contribute to future society.

Our BDes Product Design programme offers tailored learning opportunities and equips students with a diverse skillset and understanding of design’s evolving role as a creative, strategic and collaborative practice.

Students on the BSc Immersive Systems Design programme gain the technical and creative skills required to specialise in digital games, animation, VFX and related domains from its two pathways, 3D Modelling and Games & Virtual Reality.

Likewise, our BDes (Hons) Sound for the Moving Image course teaches how to construct soundscapes for original films or audio-visual installations.

This session will jointly be hosted by:

Marianne, Director - Operations for SIT

Iona Ferguson, Programme Tutor for Immersive Systems Design

Irene Bell, Programme Leader for Product Design

Adam Scott, Programme Tutor for Sound for the Moving Image

Join us to hear about the exciting career paths for these programmes, as well as discussing portfolio advice for your Clearing application, general life in Glasgow, and to see why one of these programmes might be the right fit for you.

Clearing places are open to International and RUK applicants for Immersive Systems Design and Product Design (see www.gsa.ac.uk/clearing for details).

Please note applications for Sound for the Moving Image are welcomed from students entering directly into Year 3 from RUK only.

Clearing is a simple way to apply to The Glasgow School of Art and offers those who do not currently have a place to study on an undergraduate course the option to apply for study at the GSA in autumn 2025. If you’ve already applied for art school or university, Clearing offers you the chance to change your mind. If you have not applied at all, the Clearing process means you still have time.
