The walk follows the route taken by Charles Booth in 1899 to research his famous poverty maps.
The walk follows the route taken by Charles Booth in 1898 to research his famous poverty maps.
Along the way we hear about the Knights of St John, the sausage king of London, a Feinian outrage and Lenin's time in the borough as well as hearing the ancient Fleet river flow beneath our feet.

Meet outside "The Modern Pantry" 48 St John's Square, near Farringdon Underground Station. This is a two and a quarter hour walk. Check with Transport for London's Journey Planner for travel information.
