Clevedon Nearly New Sales
Sat 14 October 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
The cost of kitting out your little ones can be expensive. Our sales are the perfect solution for parents. A place to sell items that your little ones no longer need and make a bit of cash whilst decluttering your home at the same time. And for those expecting a baby, or with a little one growing up needing new clothes/toys, these sales are the perfect way to save money!
The nearly new sales at the Barn are held regularly throughout the year. We provide tables, chairs and a parking space, so all you need to do is turn up with your priced up items, a float and a purse to put all that cash in! We also provide a little cafe for you to buy a cup of tea and a sweet treat to keep you going.
If you have any questions about the event please contact Kate at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What time can I set up? You can set up from 9am.
What can I bring? Baby or children's items that are still in good enough condition to be used again.
Can I plug in electrical items? No, we are not able to use the plug sockets at the barn for testing electrical items or displaying them.
Can I park? Yes, there is plenty of car parking spaces at the Barn that you are welcome to use.
How long do I get to pack up? We will be closing the doors to the public at 12. We do ask that everyone packs up by 12.30pm please.
How much room do I have? If you have booked a large table, this is the size of a normal trestle table. You can also use the space underneath your table for larger items. But we do ask that you do not display items in front of your table for health and safety reasons.
If you have booked a small table you can also have approximately 1m of space beside your table for larger items such as a pram or a clothes rail. Again, please do not put items in front of your table.
Do I have to label everything? It is up to you but we do find that labelled items do sell better. Sometimes buyers do not like to ask a price and prefer to move on. Your job is to tempt them with your bargains!
What facilities are there in the Barn? There are toilets and also a small cafe will be run in the hall with hot drinks and sweet treats to buy. We will also have complimentary water and squash available.
Do you provide tables and chairs? Yes, we provide a table and up to two chairs.
Can I bring a rail? Yes, if you have booked a small table or the one larger pitch available.
Can I bring people with me? Yes, it can be helpful to have two people behind a table. Any children you bring are your responsibility. You may find that toddlers get under your feet, and hinder rather than help. Older children can be a great help – get them manning the float and working out how much change each person needs! Obviously, very little ones who are still breastfeeding are fine to bring along, but, if you can, bring along another adult to help run the table, just in case you get tied up! The lost child point will be at the admissions table.
What else do I need to bring with me? You will need a float for change. Some carrier bags are useful for shoppers.
