Cleveland way 2 day challenge | 50 miles

What is the challenge?

Starting at Saltburn Beach, particiapants will take on the 50-mile coastal section of the Cleveland Way. The event finishing at Filey via the beautiful villages of Staithes, Robins Hood bay and towns of Scarborough and Whitby

Throughout the course of the 2-day event, you'll push your limits and soak in breathtaking views. Perfect for those who like to be challenged, whilst having the full support of the Endurotrek team

During the challenge you'll be camping under the stars at Middlewood Farm campsite, near Robin Hoods Bay offering hot showers, washing facilities, toilets, and amenities, just a short stroll into town (Your own tent and sleeping bag needed)

Whether you're a seasoned trekker or relative novice looking for a new challenge, this event is suitable for all fitness levels (Baggage transfer available, please read on below).

What are the 3 entry categories?

1. Enjoy (no minimum backpack weight/ carrying clothing/water/food with baggage transfer for additional equipment)

2. Endeavour - 10kg minimum weight (Participants will carry a minimum weight of 10kg + Food and water)

3. Endure - 15kg minimum weight (Participants will carry a minimum weight of 15kg + Food and water)

Do I have to carry my equipment/backpack?

Carrying your equipment is optional. Alternatively you can use our baggage transfer service and have your clothing/equipment transported each day

Is the route sign-posted?

The Cleveland Way is a national trail (One of 16 across the UK). It is way-marked and sign posted throughout. Additionally you will pass through checkpoints and our team will be at designated places along the route. (See route and daily finish points in the Agenda section)

Where will I stay?

Evening 1 will be spent at Middlewood Farm campsite, Robin Hoods Bay. Offering hot showers, washing facilities, toilets, refreshments and camping pitches

Do you have to camp?

Camping is not essential. If you choose to arrange your own accomodation in Robin Hoods Bay that is completely fine, whilst remembering you will need to take 100% responsibility of your booking and commute between the race end and your accommodation before/after each day

How will I be supported?

Our support team will be staffing checkpoints along the entire route, with first aid stations and drinks/snacks available

At the end of each day, our designated campsite will provide the location to rest and recover before the next days challenge

What food and drink included?

Drinks, refreshments and snacks are provided at all check points

Breakfast: Day 2 breakfast of porridge, cereal bars, a variety of fruit, hot and cold drinks
