Event description
Are you a woman who has been involved in camming or private galleries? We would love to chat with you!

About this Event

Got any questions before registering? Anna (CLiCK Development Worker) would love to hear from you! Please feel free to drop her an email: annaclick@womenssupportproject.org.uk

What is CLiCK?

CLiCK (www.click.scot) is a new service across Scotland which provides support – both online and face-to-face – to any woman involved in selling or exchanging sex online.

Why is this event being held?

We want to hear from any women (aged 18 and over) who have been involved in camming and/or private galleries to learn more about women’s experiences, needs, and opinions on how services and policymakers can provide support in Scotland.

We welcome anyone who identifies as a woman to come along with any perspectives of camming and/or private galleries – whether your experiences have been positive or negative – and whatever issues you want to bring to our attention.

What would attending this event involve?

The event will be an informal chat over some food, guided loosely by three main discussion points:

  • What are the experiences of women who webcam and/or use private galleries?
  • What are the needs of women who webcam and/or use private galleries?
  • How can services and policymakers best support women who webcam and/or use private galleries?

At no point will you be asked to talk about your own personal experiences. Our chat will be focused on the experiences and needs of women in general and how these experiences and needs can inform policy and practice.

Who else will be there?

There are 15 spaces on this event for women with lived experience of camming and/or using private galleries. The event will be led by 3 members of CLiCK staff:

This means there will be a maximum of 18 people at the event.

How will you protect my privacy and well-being?

Please Note: As this is a face-to-face event we cannot guarantee anonymity. If attending this event would put you at risk in any way, please see Other Ways to Get Involved

Your privacy and well-being are of paramount importance to us and we have put a number of measures in place to keep you safe on the night and after the event:

  • The event will be held in a private room at the venue (Posh Room on the first floor). This room can be accessed without having to go through the main bar area.
  • There will be a separate private room that you can use if you would like some time away from the main discussion
  • The venue staff will know the event simply as "The Click Event"
  • Photography, video recording, audio recording, and live blogging of the event will not be permitted
  • We ask for this to be a dry event with no alcohol in the room
  • You will not be asked to disclose any personal information (e.g. your real name or your personal experiences of camming and/or private galleries)
  • Kate (CLiCK Women's Worker) will be there on the night for anyone that would like to talk about accessing support
  • We will provide information on Glasgow-based services that can provide emotional and practical support
  • After the event, we will produce a follow-up blog highlighting how CLiCK will use themes that came up during our chat to inform resources, policy, and practice. The blog will be published on the CLiCK website and shared on CLiCK's social media platforms. No identifying information or direct quotes will be included in the blog

Accessibility

There are stairs with a handrail to access the venue and private rooms. Unfortunately, there is no lift at the venue. If this isn’t suitable for you, please check out Other Ways to Get Involved

Other Ways to Get Involved

If you are not able to attend this event but would still like to make your voice heard, we would love to hear from you! You can use CLiCK's anonymous Your Voice section to let us know your views on women's experiences of camming and/or private galleries, women's needs, and what policymakers and services should be doing to provide better support. . You can also email Anna (annaclick@womenssupportproject.org.uk) to discuss ways of working one-to-one as part of CLiCK’s Women’s Forum.
