Description
Thanks in part to Extinction Rebellion, Greta Thunberg and the Climate Strikes, public demand for action on the climate and environment emergency has surged to unprecedented levels. For the first time ever, a majority of voters is saying the climate crisis will affect how they vote. This is why Extinction Rebellion has organised a non-selective hustings focused on the Climate and Environment Emergency for the constituency of Cambridge. It gives voters a chance to hear Cambridge candidates explain their Parties' plans to tackle the emergency. And it also gives voters a chance to ask probing questions about those plans. Terry Macalister, former energy editor for The Guardian will chair the panel discussion. The following candidates will be attending: Jeremy Caddick, Green Party; Rod Cantrill, Liberal Democrats; Peter Dawe, Brexit Party; Daniel Zeichner, Labour Party.
More about the venue: It has wheelchair access and there is padded seating. The room is equipped with a hearing loop. There are around 15 parking-meter spaces on Broad St. Blue badge parking is available on Bradmore St but needs to be pre-booked by calling 0845 1966464. There is a gender neutral, accessible toilet.
