Climate cafe listening circle
Overview
Join us upstairs at the Steam Crane for a climate cafe listening circle - a space to share thoughts and feelings about the climate and nature crises. There are no special guests or speeches, and nobody gives advice. We just listen to each other and share our own experience. Sometimes it's hard to talk about these things because they can bring up a lot of difficult feelings - a climate cafe listening circle provides the opportunity to talk about these feelings and thoughts in a safe and supportive environment with two facilitators
We meet once a month. It's free to attend and you can buy a drink at the bar to bring upstairs.
Please arrive on time! This is in order to make the group a safe and comfortable space for talking about things that can feel difficult, so that we don't have interruptions once the session has begun.
This climate cafe is offered in collaboration with the South Bristol Climate Hub. South Bristol Climate Hub is a family-friendly climate action group connecting people in South Bristol, and acting as a hub to bring together and embrace the diverse range of existing climate action groups. If you're interested in joining the Hub please join this whatsapp chat or have a chat to us about it after the climate cafe.
Our climate cafe listening circles are open to anyone aged 18 or over who is worried about the climate and ecological crisis. If you are under 18 and need support, the Climate Psychology Alliance (CPA) has links to a range of resources that may help: https://www.climatepsychologyalliance.org/index.php/find-support
