About this event

Community • Other

Tavistock Library and Transition Tavistock invite you to "Farming the Flood", the next event in the Climate, Cake and Conversation series. Join us at the Library to watch this locally made half hour film. Following the film there will be a chance to discuss the issues it raises as well as time to chat informally over light refreshments.

Created in partnership with the Dartmoor Headwaters Project, ‘Farming the Flood’ showcases farmers using nature-based techniques to combat flooding. It demonstrates the role farms can play in increasing resilience to flooding whilst restoring biodiversity, while still aligning with their business interests.

No admission charge, but there will be an opportunity to donate towards costs.

A great way to connect with others concerned about nature and the climate, in a relaxed setting. See you there! Doors open 7pm.

Note: young people (under 18) may attend, but only with an adult. No dogs allowed except registered assistance dogs.
