Event description
Climate Change - Discussing Challenges with Laurent Fabius, former President of the COP21 and Paris Climate Agreement

About this Event

The urgency of the climate crisis can be seen all around the world. Has the Paris Climate Agreement already failed? How will Europe respond to the Climate Challenge? Will politicians be able to find solutions that satisfy climate protestors, but also strengthen the European economy? Are the climate policy preferences of the different EU member states too different to be reconciled?

Laurent Fabius has been the President of the French Constitutional Council since 2016. He was the President of COP21 and father of the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015. He served as the French Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2016 and as the French Prime Minister from 1984 to 1986.

Professor Erik Berglof is the Director of the Institute of Global Affairs at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
