Impacts of climate change are already evident across the globe, from more frequent and intense heat waves to species extinction, to wildfires to droughts, from water scarcity to ecosystem loss.

Decision-makers and communities worldwide are asked to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and to limit greenhouse gas emissions. There are increasing calls to declare a climate emergency, especially because the negative consequences of climate change are not experienced equally between different communities. Countries and cities are developing strategies and actions to minimize the impact of climate change in our lives.

In this interactive webinar, bringing together students from around the world, we will discuss questions such as how can we change our habits? How can we adapt our ways of living? How can we act in our communities? How can we act as humanity?

This session will be led by Tobias Gerken , Assistant Professor at the School of Integrated Sciences at James Madison University (USA) and Dr Tânia Dias Fonseca, Senior Lecturer in Learning and Teaching at Kingston University (UK)
