This event is taking place as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

We'll hear the story of Ndiuzayani Zaya, a Malawian woman whose mother works with the Kasinthula Cane Growers Association about life and issues of gender inequality for young women and girls in rural Malawi.

Ndiuzayani will tell us about the added challenge facing women farmers on the front line dealing with the impacts of climate change on agriculture.

We'll have some academic input on the disproportionate impact on women around the world of climate change, and the issue of climate justice.

Then we'll find out about the Fairtrade Women’s School of Leadership, the difference Fairtrade makes to gender equality and to women in leadership dealing with climate change.
