Event description
Green spaces and opportunities for carbon offsetting in Westminster

About this event

The council has pledged to work with businesses, residents, policy makers and communities to tackle climate change and achieve net zero carbon emissions across the city by 2040. To achieve our targets, we must make immediate and ambitious changes across the city and these sessions are an opportunity to help shape these changes.

Westminster’s green spaces and natural environment can play a critical role in removing carbon emissions and helping to offset emissions that we are unable to remove completely. During the session, we will explore opportunities for carbon offsetting and the benefits for biodiversity, health and wellbeing.

Your feedback will help to shape a Climate Emergency action plan for Westminster to lead the city’s pathway to achieving our ambitious target. The workshop will take place on Zoom and a meeting link will be sent to you ahead of the event.
