About this event

Are you a voluntary organisation looking to learn more about the climate emergency and build understanding and skills to make a positive difference in Scotland? We are working with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations on an exciting programme of training to help voluntary organisations and social enterprises tackle climate change and transition to a net zero society.

The training consists of one day’s worth of learning (eight hours), which will be delivered online over two 2.5-hour live sessions, supported by self-study activities. Your training will take place over 2 weeks, Module 1 on the date you selected and Module 2 exactly one week later.

More information and joining instructions will be emailed to you 2 days prior to the event.

· Part one: An introduction to climate change / Climate impacts and adaptation

· Part two: Reducing emissions (mitigation) / Climate action and communications

The training will be accredited to meet the Carbon Literacy Standard, which is verified independently by the Carbon Literacy Project and successful participants will receive a certificate in Carbon Literacy.

Eligibility Criteria- Any voluntary organisation or not for profit organisation (except political parties) in Scotland Spaces are offered on a first come first serve basis and limited to three individuals per organisation. Training is funded through Scottish walking charity, Paths for All as part of their ‘The Smart Choices, Smarter Places’ (SCSP) COP26 Legacy Fund and CCLA Investment Management.

Data Protection Act 2018

We (Keep Scotland Beautiful) will hold the information you have given us via Eventbrite in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

We will use the information you provide to process your registration for the Climate Emergency Training for Voluntary Organisations course, enrol you on our eLearning platform, send you communications about the training including relevant follow-up information and for monitoring and reporting. We will use anonymised data for purposes including marketing and promotion.

The training is in partnership with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and funded through Scottish walking charity, Paths for All as part of their ‘The Smart Choices, Smarter Places’ (SCSP) COP26 Legacy Fund. Funding is also provided through CCLA Investment Management. We may share any information provided with SCVO and other partners having a legitimate interest in the project: Paths for All and CCLA Investment Management.

We will store your information for 3 years from the date the project has been completed. We will then delete your information.
