The effects of climate change are not equal. We know women are more likely to be affected by climate change than men, yet they make up less than a quarter of leadership positions in climate policy-making. Women’s voices are not being heard. It's time for change.
Join us for an important conversation with a panel of scientists, industry experts, academics, and activists as we explore how women are unequally affected by climate change, the vital roles they already play in tackling the climate crisis, and why their voices must be central to shaping climate policies.
This interactive event offers opportunities to share your experiences, propose solutions, and engage directly with the panel. It will also contribute to the prestigious UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship research led by Dr Pedi Obani, Associate Professor in the School of Law, which aims to shape a new framework for addressing these challenges, including increasing women's representation at the highest levels of decision-making.
While the focus is on women’s representation in climate governance, voices and experiences from all genders are welcome and valued.
Full panel line-up to be announced soon. Book your place now.
