The University of Bath is committed to tackling climate change through cutting emissions and embedding climate action through the way the University conducts its business, research and teaching.

This academic year, Climate Literacy induction was offered to all incoming students, the first time this was ever attempted anywhere in the UK. Over 100 staff and students went on to complete Climate Literacy training and receive accreditation from the Carbon Literacy Project: https://carbonliteracy.com/.

WHAT?
We are now offering the opportunity to all members of the University Community; students, staff, alumni and partners. This one-day hybrid course will provide you with the opportunity to complete the Climate Literacy training and apply for accreditation.
WHY?
- Become aware of climate change, and the climate impacts of mankind’s everyday actions.
- Become empowered with the knowledge and confidence on how to make a difference for Climate Action in your life, discipline, community, and the world!
- Join thousands of people making a difference as individuals and in their communities and organisations
- Meet and join forces with like-minded friends through initiatives such as the Climate Leaders, the Vertically Integrated Projects and others
- Receive a unique certificate to evidence your training which should be added to your CV to show potential employers how driven you are, and how serious you are about the environment
HOW?
Please register here to attend the 1-day course either in person or online. On completion of the course, you will then be offered the opportunity to apply for a certificate by submitting a pledge as evidence of your commitment to taking positive action for climate change.
The course is free to attend. However, if you wish to achieve accreditation, there is a £10 admin fee* payable at the point you submit your pledge to cover the training materials, accreditation and certification provided by the Carbon Literacy Project.
* 100% of the fees go to the Carbon Literacy Project.
