Event description

Description

To support development of a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for Glasgow City Region, the Climate Ready Clyde initiative is developing a climate risk and opportunity assessment which identifies and compares the range of climate risks and opportunities across Glasgow City Region.

As part of this work, the Climate Ready Clyde secretariat are pleased to invite you to a morning workshop to share emerging findings from the early stages of the assessment, develop the risk and opportunity registers, and identify actions already planned or underway by stakeholders to manage and realise them.

In addition, we will also be holding an optional follow-on afternoon workshop to trial developing ‘impact chains’ for our risks and opportunities. Impact Chains are a new technique being developed in forthcoming ISO standards on climate adaptation. They help practitioners develop a fuller understanding of risks and opportunities by exploring the cause-effect-relationships in risks and opportunities. The workshop will provide an overview of the concept, and will pilot them using the risks and opportunities identified from the morning session. This is a unique opportunity to understand a new approach, and we are keen to gain your insights and expertise on the local context to use them in the work for the City Region. Please note the follow on workshop is separately ticketed.
