Climate Resilient Communities // Cymunedau Hinsawdd Barod

This event is part of the Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) taking place across Gwent on behalf of Gwent PSB.

The Gwent Climate Change Risk Assessment is a region-wide initiative to help public services, communities, and decision-makers understand and respond to the growing risks of a changing climate in Gwent. Through expert analysis, inclusive engagement, and leadership development, the project will deliver practical insights and tools by March 2026 to support climate adaptation across Gwent. This is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to shape the future resilience of their communities and local services — by contributing their knowledge and sharing their experiences to enrich the risk assessment.

Climate Resilient Communities Workshops

All the information that has been gathered to date to inform the Risk Assessment will be available at this workshop for local communities to ‘sense-check.’ The aim is to gather information on people’s perceptions of cumulative and combined climate change risks and understand their priorities for climate adaptation in the area.

We would like participants to share insights, stories and their experience about their own communities – so come along.

Mae’r digwyddiad hwn yn rhan o’r Asesiad Risg Newid Hinsawdd (CCRA) sy’n cael ei gynnal ledled Gwent ar ran Bwrdd Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Gwent.

Mae Asesiad Risg Newid Hinsawdd Gwent yn fenter ranbarthol i helpu gwasanaethau cyhoeddus, cymunedau a rhanddeiliaid sy’n gwneud penderfyniadau i ddeall ac ymateb i’r risgiau cynyddol sy’n gysylltiedig â newid yn yr hinsawdd yng Ngwent. Drwy ddadansoddiad arbenigol, ymgysylltu cynhwysol a datblygu arweinyddiaeth, bydd y prosiect yn darparu mewnwelediadau ac offer ymarferol erbyn Mawrth 2026 i gefnogi addasiadau i’r hinsawdd ar draws Gwent. Mae hwn yn gyfle unigryw i randdeiliaid lunio gwydnwch eu cymunedau a’u gwasanaethau lleol yn y dyfodol — drwy gyfrannu eu gwybodaeth a rhannu eu profiadau i gyfoethogi’r asesiad risg.

Bydd yr holl wybodaeth sydd wedi’i gasglu hyd yma i lywio’r Asesiad Risg ar gael yn y gweithdai hyn er mwyn i gymunedau lleol allu ei trafod a’i ‘gwirio’. Nod y sesiynau yw casglu gwybodaeth am ganfyddiadau pobl o’r risgiau niferus a chyfunol sy’n gysylltiedig â newid hinsawdd, a deall eu blaenoriaethau ar gyfer addasu i’r hinsawdd yn yr ardal.
