Join us on Saturday 29th November 2025 for a Climate Resilience themed walk along the Truro River, "Coastal Climate Conversations".

🗓️ Date: 29/11/25 🕥 Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 Starting Point: Boscawen Park, Truro (exact meeting location will be shared with ticket holders)
🎟️ Tickets: £5 (non-refundable)

About the Walk:
Step into a meaningful journey along the banks of the River Truro as we explore powerful local climate stories and learn how the area is adapting through upgraded flood defences. Along the way, we’ll uncover practical important steps we can each take to build our own resilience in a changing climate, as we hear from local experts along the way.

This Climate Walk is part of a wider movement—offering the kind of knowledge and reflection many of us never had at school. Whether you're just beginning to think about climate resilience or already looking for ways to act, this walk is a chance to engage, reflect, and be inspired to plan to adjust our lives to live with changing conditions.

What to Expect:
🗺️ A relaxed, flat 1.6-mile (2.6 km) walk from Boscawen Park to Sunny Corner and back
🌿 Stops along the route to meet Truro City Council's Richard Budge, flood risk experts from the Environment Agency & Cornwall Community Flood Forum, locals from Sunny Corner Conservation Group (with FREE coffee & doughnuts), Citizens Science Investigators for Westcountry Rivers Trust, and hear unique, place-based stories along the way, the famous 1980s floods from Robert Mallett and Truro Cricket Club.
🗣️ Thoughtful conversation, storytelling, and community connection
📍 The walk ends at the Cricket Club for discussion and presentation of photographs and speakers question time.
