Climate Women: Dreaming Wild & Intention-Setting Fire Circle.

On this night we gather around the fire, entering the ancient rhythm of circle. With flame as guardian and witness, we release the worn-out stories and the shadows of fear. With the flames as our witness and guided by Anna of Happy Belly we open the doorway into the dreaming space — dreaming for the climate, the planet, for women, for community.

Together we will step into the river of dreams, drift with the dark waters of the unknown - calling in the unseen, daring to dream our wildest and most untamed visions. From this dreaming place we will return, breath by breath, into our bodies. Together we will weave our intentions for the darker months ahead — blessings for ourselves, for each other, and for the living circle of Climate Women we form.

Climate Women

Climate Women is a network for women who are passionate about the planet. We host monthly circles and inspirational events that are welcoming and uplifting. We offer spaces to share knowledge and experiences -- places to create and learn. We love to connect wonderful people, projects, and organisations to collaborate, support existing work and inspire new actions.

We believe that when it comes to saving Mother Earth, there’s strength in connection, strength in collaboration and strength in community. By coming together in positivity, we aim to inspire impact and deliver action for a better future for everyone.

The Happy Belly Foods Project

A community food-growing initiative rooted in remembering that food is our first medicine—and that by nourishing biodiversity within our bodies, we support (bio)diversity in the world around us. Rooted in biodynamic methods, our vision is to be a place of learning and reconnection: we come together in community—across generations, belief systems, and backgrounds—as stewards of this 0.5 acre plot. It is our living classroom and sanctuary, where we explore the deep connection between healthy, vital soils, our bodies, and the planet. Through hands-in-the-earth practice and being in community, we revive forgotten knowledge, support seasonal eating, self-care, and remember our connection to land and each other. We share the food we grow in our events and with the wider community in Brighton & Hove through the Real Junk Food Project.

What to bring

We will be offering tea and soup from this land. Please bring a mug, bowl and spoon for yourself (we have a few spare but best to bring your own). Please avoid single use plastic and take all packaging with you, in case you bring packaged food. Organic waste can happily be added to our compost.

September might be a little chilly and it will get dark earlier and dew will settle in. Wear solid shoes, layers and waterproofs. We have sheep skins to sit on and blankets to wrap around, the fire and our energy will keep us toasty warm throughout the night.

Location & Logistics

The Happy Belly Foods Projects is part of Stanmer Organics in Stanmer Park.

By bus: Take Bus 78 to Stanmer Village (last stop) and walk to Stanmer Organics, Happy Belly is at the end of the lower track, past the Earthship. (See map attached).

By car sharing: We will use our Climate Women what’s app group to organise lift shares to this event. Please note: Parking is on paid car parks only! No parking on the tracks or within SO to avoid compaction, dust and further increase in heat and traffic near trees.

Please note: the track towards the site is uneven and not lit. It is easy and safe to walk in darkness but we will walk back together and make sure there is a torch with every group.

Weather: if it rains or winds go above 18 knots we will postpone.
