Clinical Leadership Skills Development Programme
Thu, 9 Mar 2017, 09:00 – Fri, 10 Mar 2017, 16:00 GMT
NHS Leadership Skills Workshop
The course aims to equip you with the leadership and management skills necessary to make the transition to consultant level. Over the two days you will be introduced to new skills, techniques and contemporary concepts of leadership and management. In addition we will offer insights into the whole team dynamic and how to best manage performance at group and individual level. The course will help you to make sense of different personalities, motivators and drivers to enable effective change processes and conflict management. You will also gain insight into your own personality, how you impact others and will develop wider skills to operate effectively in the current, pressurised, leadership environment.
The course is run over two consecutive days and is intended for specialty trainees in their penultimate or final years of training, although STs at an earlier stage would also benefit from attending.
The programme will be facilitated by qualified business and executive coaches with extensive leadership experience and other senior NHS experts.
All attendees will be issued with attendance certificates and will complete a personal action plan to add to their Professional Development Plans.
