Join us for a Clipper Race Discovery Talk and learn about the extraordinary opportunity to participate in the upcoming Clipper 2027-28 Race either as Race Crew or a Professional Skipper or First Mate.

Whether you dream of crossing oceans, pushing personal boundaries, or creating unforgettable memories, this event will give you a glimpse into what it takes to becoming Clipper Race crew. With no prior sailing experience required (for race crew), this one of a kind adventure race welcomes adventurers from all walks of life and experience levels.

There will also be the oppportunity to hear from our Deputy Race Director Max Rivers on how you could become one of our professional Race Skippers and First Mates.

Boat Tour 20h30 - want to see where you could be living while you race across an ocean - after the talk there will be the opportunity to step on board.

What you will learn about:

🌊 The Training Programme: Learn about the rigorous four-levels of training that transform novices into confident ocean racers. Discover the skills you'll master, from navigating open seas to advanced safety techniques.

🌎 The Race and Route: Discover more about the Clipper Race and explore the 40,000-nautical-mile route that spans six continents and some of the world’s most challenging and awe-inspiring oceans.

🏠 Personal Logistics: Get answers to practical questions about financing, scheduling, and life on and off the yacht whether you are considering a single leg or full circumnavigation.

👩‍✈️ What It’s Like to Be Race Crew: Hear first-hand stories from Race Crew Alumni about teamwork, perseverance, and the thrill of racing in toughest ocean conditions.

Boat Tours

Ahead of the talk, why not visit the Clipper 70s at Fremantle Sailing Club - boat tours are available on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th December from 10h00 - 18h00 and Wednesday 17th December 10h00 - 13h30.

There will also be the opportunity to step on board after the talk.

ABOUT THE CLIPPER RACE

Raced by people like you, the Clipper Race is an endurance challenge like no other. Race Crew come from all walks of life and nations around the world to tackle one or multiple legs of the record-breaking circumnavigation. Train from a complete novice to become an ocean racer as part of a team on board a 70-foot ocean racing yacht. Together you’ll face the world’s most extreme ocean conditions and mental challenges before returning victorious.

Led by a professional Skipper and First Mate, you can choose to compete in the full 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation, or test yourself on one or more of the eight unique race legs. This bucket list experience can see you taking on the notorious Atlantic, Roaring Forties and North Pacific including stopovers in some of the world's most spectacular destinations.
