About this Event
Site Access Traffic Marshal training course objectives include:
- The principles of traffic management and the responsibilities of the Site Access Traffic Marshal
- Directing and controlling vehicles (banksmen) to ensure safe vehicle manoeuvres
- Controlling and ‘stopping up’ traffic using the ‘Stop Works’ sign to ensure safe site access and egress
- Controlling vehicle movement to keep site traffic volumes at a manageable level through effective communication and radio procedure
- Taking steps to protect members of the public using temporary segregation and effective communication
- Checking HGVs for road safety requirements in accordance with the CLOCS Standard and FORS accreditation
- Taking action to take in the event of non-conformity to contractual road safety requirements
- Taking immediate action in the event of an incident, road traffic collision or security breach
The SATM Zoom course concludes with an online assessment and successful delegates receive:
- Certificate
- Qualification photocard
- Handbook
- Inclusion on the Site Access Traffic Marshal register
