A day of Film and Stalls and more……..
Haringey celebrates it’s final day of Black History Month with something for all the family and the community to enjoy, on Saturday 29th October.
The day will consist of entertainment which will include a free film screening, drummers, and dancers and a small craft market, selling books, soaps, food and more.
Event organisers Nollyfest/Africine Films have provided the film programming. www.nollyfest.com.
The Secret Princess is a touching and beautiful animation by Director/Animator Segun Williams, it will be shown inside the library followed with a directors Q&A. Williams started creating children’s animation to fill the void in the African/Black market. His work has won the best feature animation category at the United Nations organised animation film festival Kingtoon.
The Secret Princess tells the story of a prince who falls in love with a mysterious girl who is unaware she is actually a princess and that she was switched at birth by her father the King who wanted a male child. It is a film aimed at all the family.
The day will run from 10-5pm and is completely free for all to attend. The film screening will be at 3pm followed by the Q&A. For anyone interested in performing on the day or if you would like to book a stall please email: email@example.com. Stalls are limited so booking in advance is a must.
