About this event

Hobbies • DIY

Are there clothes lurking in your wardrobe that you can’t bear to throw away but that need a little love?

Join us on Wednesday 24th September to learn some creative hand mending techniques to give your old clothes a new look and a second life. Maybe they need a restyle? Could you make something new from old? Any sweaters with holes? Come and learn to darn! Keep those textiles out landfill, save cash and give those clothes the personal touch.

This workshop is part of The Common Threads Festival, an international weaving project bringing cultures, ideas and people together and taking place from the 24th -27th September on the Moor in Sheffield.

Common Threads has grown from a collaboration between The Bare Project, Higsad Alool Weavers and textile groups across Sheffield.

There will be a photographer present at this event, and the images may be used by The Bare Project for marketing and evaluation purposes. If you do not wish for your photograph to be taken for any reason then please speak with one of the team at the start of the event.
