Event description
CLOCS are delivering the CLP Foundation Course to aid all parties in Construction Logistics. (A pre-requisite to Practitioner training)

About this Event

Construction Logistics Planning Foundation training is a pre-requisite to Practitioner, offering a comprehensive introduction to CLPs and is a great place to start building on your knowledge and understanding of the purpose and methodology of CLPs.

CLP’s are an important management tool for planners, developers as well as construction contractors. Being competent in CLP’s will mitigate the risks associated with construction activities and focuses on the construction supply chain and how the impact on road network and safety of Vulnerable Road Users can be reduced.

Who will benefit?

These courses are particularly useful for local authority transport planners, property developers, principal construction contractors and the supply chain; and logistics operators.

CLOCS CLP courses are intentionally comprised of a good mix of professionals, to ensure that the shared experience and best practice discussions are meaningful, relevant and from all perspectives; to help efficiently prepare and assess more consistent, simplified CLPs.

What have recent delegates found most useful?

“…the CLP step by step process and the importance of a detailed CLP…”

“…the detailed discussions about what should go in a CLP particularly the local site constraints of planning”

“…receiving more information on required compliances and improvements that can be made…”

About CLPs

The CLP focuses specifically on construction supply chains and how their impact on the road network can be reduced. A CLP differs from a Construction Management Plan (CMP) or Construction and Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) in that CLPs are developed earlier in the planning process and focus specifically on logistics. The information and planned measures identified in the CLP can also be included in the CMP or CEMP.
