Hormones are all about communication and they play a vital role in the health of our body. ‘Sex hormones’ don’t just give us our male or female characteristics, they also influence many other things including mood, skin and immunity, Energy.

Issues such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), acne and hair in unusual places can occur when we have an imbalance. Hormones also influence our metabolism, libido, weight and even the way we handle stress. Given their importance, it pays to ensure that we utilise our diet and lifestyle to support them for optimal health and vitality.

About the Speaker:

Melissa Cahill is a Nutritional Therapist and a Member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners. (ANP)

Shortly after graduating from The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) with Distinction she set up her practice Nona Nutrition in the Sirona Clinic Douglas Cork. Since having her own Daughter 2 years ago she found a great passion for Women’s Health (preconception care, Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Nutrition, Fertility, Hormonal issues, Weight loss, Digestive Issues, Fatigue) and helps educate, guide and support women on their journey to achieve optimal health.
