What are Food-Grown® (food-form) nutrients?
10.30am - 12.30pm - led by Nutritional Therapists Wild Nutrition

Understand why they are different from synthetic supplements, the effects upon the body and their use in clinical practice. 

What you will learn about:

  • A deeper understanding of the Food-Grown® nutrient process and how it differs from synthetic supplements and other types of products,
e.g. whole food, food-state, fermented, amino acid chelate and so on.
  • The way that these food-based natural nutrients are used, absorbed by the body and their impact on body systems and organs.
  • How these can be used in a clinical setting to maximize client results.
  • Comprehension on natural forms of nutrients and why they matter.

Nutrigenomics in Practice: Why, When and How 
1pm - 3pm - Ingeneius

Emma and Kate are CNM nutritional therapy graduates who created their company, Ingeneius, to provide high quality, trustworthy and relevant genotype interpretation for nutritional therapists and functional medicine practitioners to use in a clinical setting. They will explain why and when it is appropriate to use genotype analysis in clinic and the practicalities of ordering tests and interpreting reports.

The presentation will explain the importance of using genotype analysis in an epigenetic context and will use case study examples based on key biochemical pathways such as methylation and detoxification.  Special offers for Ingeneius seminars and reports will be available for attendees.

 

Clinical Applications in Digestive Disease

3.30pm - 5.30pm – Sue McGarrigle ND - BioNutri

This seminar will cover various disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, the symptoms, causes and triggers and look at dietary and supplemental protocols as well as some do’s and don’ts specific to the conditions.

These will include Ulcerative Colitis, Crohns Disease, SIBO, Pancreatitis, IBS, GERD, Candida, constipation, bloating and bacterial/parasite infections.
