Co-Design Essentials - Creative Tools
Overview
On 5th February 2020, Scotland made a promise that all children would grow up loved, safe, and respected. (The Promise reports). A key component to make this a reality is the co-designing of services with children, young people and families. The Promise Scotland offers a range of support and resources to help organisations in Scotland to make the changes necessary to #keepthepromise.
Our Co- Design Essentials series aims to provide facilitators with the skills, tools and confidence they need for successful co-desIgn journeys.
This Creative Tools session aims to :
● Increase knowledge of a range of co-design facilitation tools and techniques.
● Increase awareness of different needs that may be present within your co-design team and how to build inclusiveness into sessions.
Advice from previous cohorts-
“Come prepared to engage to get the most out of the session”
“Come willing to collaborate and share. Ok to attend with curiosity”
“Make sure you protect the time and not be emailing or working at same time to get the most out of it”
This is the third in a series of three sessions which can be accessed on a stand-alone or course basis.
This session is aimed at anyone who is thinking about starting a co-design process or wants a reflective space to consider their current practice.
Please note this session does not cover the Design process itself, but provides useful tools and methods to support your role as a facilitator of participatory practice.
