Join us for a visit to Roman Road, where we'll discuss how councils, communities, and designers can work together to create meaningful, long-lasting change on the high street.
This session is a collaboration with the GLA's High Street Place Labs programme and will be followed by a problem solving workshop with Mayor’s Design Advocates and GLA team members on hand. We will focus on practical application of co-design practices to projects you are delivering - you will be asked to bring a current project or challenge to discuss during the workshop.
Join us to
- Hear from the Roman Road Trust around their model for citizen-led high street regeneration
- Explore lessons from public works on the Bow Neighbourhood Common and the Common Room, and hear from Roman Road LDN about the importance of local journalism in supporting a local high street offer.
- Discuss how participatory and co-design models can be used to build strong relationships with local businesses, discussing how community relationships can be nurtured over long periods.
