Content:

What skills and/or knowledge will the event cover?

 

 

 

-will understand the difference between group work and cooperative learning based on the structure of the Johnson and Johnson model of the 5 Basic Elements

 

- be able to plan and deliver cooperative learning lessons -understand the importance of team and class building and the use of social skills to promote a positive classroom ethos

 

Participants must attend both sessions and a recall date to complete the training.

 

Expected Outcomes:

What can I, and ultimately the young people I work with, gain as a result of me attending this event?

Cooperative Learning provides a methodology that facilitates the implementation of CFE, AIFL, health and well- being and active learning -Cooperative Learning enables students to take more responsibility for their own learning -Cooperative learning raises attainment, improves students' self-esteem , increases student engagement as well as improving teacher efficacy and inter-personal relationships
