About this event

In this train the trainer style session we will support you to interpret the values and principles of co-production in a way that relates to you, your organisation, and your community, from Ageing Better’s test and learn approach to co-production good practice.

The language and definitions surrounding co-production are full of terminology and jargon that often cause confusion and alienate our communities. What matters most is that the way we agree to work together aligns to our passion and purpose and comes from the desire for sustainable change rather than it being a tick box approach.

How we translate the core values and principles of our work needs to be meaningful and speak to hearts and minds to drive action that encourages a culture where everyone is working towards a shared vision.

During this 2 hour session, we will work together to deliver the knowledge and tools for you to interpret the core values of co-production in a way that is meaningful to you, and give you the skills to do this within your own organisation or community. The learning from this session can be applied to multiple aspects of co-production work and will give you the tools to help others think about a jargon-free approach. This learning could be used to develop your own co-production charter, create a set of principles for working together as a group, or re-define your communities Age Friendly framework. Finally, we’ll link our approach to key sections of our Stronger Together Toolkit, giving you a whole host of resources and evidence to bring into your work.

This session is suitable for anyone who works in a role that supports people in the community, whether that’s strategically or directly, and wants to improve their knowledge and skills of using co-production in practice.
