Event description

Description

Our Connectivity Events offer a unique opportunity to network with likeminded individuals in a ‘club-like’ setting where your ideas can be shared, and challenges raised in a supportive environment to explore solutions and develop your coaching. The events supports coaches who have a disability

The events feature a number of themes with a focus on practical takeaways and actions for you to take away and positively impact your development and coaching practice.

Each provides a fantastic opportunity to hear from a pathway coach on their experiences as they navigate their journey, exploring the importance of creating and maintaining effective coach-athlete relationships to ensure you and your athletes thrive. Be inspired by your coaching colleagues as you consider how to bring the best version of you as a coach to every session through exploring what makes you, YOU!

Welcome to a thriving ‘club’ where you will feel supported to be heard, be seen and able to upskill and develop yourself.

With two events taking place across the country, coaches can access a connectivity event within their region. Each event will include a guest coach sharing their pathway experiences, an interactive session on personal development, plenty of time to network and meet fellow coaches and a session exploring creating and maintaining a effective talent development environment.

The other events available are:

Farnborough 10 March 2019

We are extremely keen to ensure that the coaches who engage in the Coach Connectivity Events maximise their experience.

We know that having a common experience is essential to ensuring a focussed and positive experience in cross sport learning. We appreciate that you know your coaches better than we do as well as the challenges and needs of your Talent Pathway.

The events are specifically aimed at coaches who work within the First Selective Environment (base of the talent pathway), in that they coach athletes who are making their first steps onto the pathway. The coach may also still work within a community/participation environment as well.

You are likely to be working within a hub, district, county or potentially regional environment within the pathway. This may be as a Head, Lead, Assistant or Skills Coach, directly within your pathway environment or identified as a ‘donor’ coach to the talent pathway. Previous attendees have been:

  • County Age Group Assistant Coach within the Talent Pathway
  • Head Coach of a local team (with athletes within your squad that have been selected into your Talent Pathway)
  • Lead age group coach within a district Squad
  • Club coach who works with athletes and consistently contributes athletes to a Talent Pathway.

You will be regularly coaching talented athletes and passionate about the holistic development of athletes and the learning development environment.
