Our first stop, the Dungeness Bird Observatory, is an important migration point, acting as a staging post for both British and Continental landbird migrants, and its position also makes it well situated for the observation of seabird passage.
We will then move on to RSPB Dungeness, set back from the sea, boasting mile after mile of open shingle, freshwater pits, and wet grassland.
For a taste of what the site has to offer, take a look at the trip report from our last visit (winter trip).
