Portpatrick is hidden away, tucked along the south west of Scotland. Few tourists take the time to head down there and we think that is a real shame. It's awesome here. In the sunshine it is magical. In the rain, not as easy to love, but still worth it.
We begin by driving down the South West coast of Ayrshire and stopping at the awesome view of the Muffin - of Ailsa Craig as everyone else calls it. Here you get a stone beach, some great views and a short coffee stop before we continue heading south.
Next up we reach the wonder that is Portpatrick. This little fishing village used to be the principal port to Ireland until a more sheltered harbour was found further north in Stranraer and eventually in Cairnryan. You can explore the beach, the ruined castle and the amazing views that it offers and see the coastal walks. In the heavy rain, the sea pounds the coast giving you a great sense of scale and size as the sea meets the land.
On the way home, if the weather has not bee awesome, we will stop in Ballantrae Village for a short break to see the ruins of Ardstinchar Castle and the nearby beach.
So, why should you pay the price we ask? Well, there are several reasons. Firstly, our guide is very experienced with over eight years of touring with International Students around Scotland. You'll get stories, history and memories from previous tours. Secondly, we offer fun things on the tour for you to get involved with, the most amazing of these is the legendary, Bus Bingo, where you can win some prizes with a free game on the way home. Finally, we have back up plans for nearly everything we do so if the weather, or something crazy, decides to try and ruin our day, we will do everything we can to ensure we still have a great day out.
So join us for an awesome tour and meet some new friends while making new memories!
