Meyler Campbell Founder Anne Scoular needs no introduction. But we’ll give her one anyway! Born in New Zealand, Anne followed a successful career as a diplomat and then as a Citibank-trained international banker before retraining as a psychologist. Following her dream, she co-founded Meyler Campbell in 1999 and successfully grew it into Europe’s premier coach training organisation. After more than 15 years at the helm, it was with vast relief that she handed over the running of the business to CEO Catherine Devitt, and is now dedicated to research and external advocacy for Meyler Campbell. Anne is the author of The FT Guide to Business Coaching, is currently working towards an MA in Biography and is a keen gardener.
This Fishbowl offers the chance to see Anne demonstrate what lies at the heart of the Meyler Campbell ethos: passion for and expertise in effective business coaching. Few people have more of either of these than Anne Scoular. In this event, she will hone in with laser-like focus on the ‘G’ of the GROW model. Anne describes the ‘G’ as doing the ‘heavy lifting’ of a fruitful coaching session. Without a clearly defined Goal, both coach and client can flounder in vagaries and woolliness; with it, they can fly, generating astonishing results. Anne maintains that if coaches went into businesses and did nothing else but help people set extremely clear, tough Goals, that in itself would be a massive boost to productivity.
This will be a Fishbowl with a difference, as there may be more than one ‘fish’! Anne will coach her volunteer clients through to their Goal, and no further, illustrating just how much this step alone can illuminate an issue and clarify thinking. An unmissable event. Book now.
